Astra is 70.7% (husky) 11.7% (Akita) 10.8% GSD 6.8% Malamute.
Drake is 72.1% Husky and 27.9% Pomeranian.
Puppies from this pairing will be mainly Husky, then a small percentage of Pomeranian and other breeds may be in small percentages or may not appear in their genetics. The amounts will vary due to genetic recombination.
The reason behind this pairing is to create smaller versions of huskies with temperaments that will suit a variety of lifestyles for future families. Astra and Drake's temperaments are truly invaluable. They have made my life easy with their calmness, laidback, affectionate natures and they are such a pleasure to have. Paired with my early socialisation programme and my determination to match puppies to the best homes to suit each puppy as an individual, I am super excited to see what they create together.
It is easy to say to not breed Astra with the other breeds but there are so many factors to take into consideration that make breeding her worth it. Her hip are scored as 2:2. Her hips are so close to perfect. Her nature, love of humans and gentleness with those who need it, love of all dogs and her favourite thing in this world is a puppy or a litter of puppies. She has been an incredible puppy socialiser for every litter. She naturally wants to curl up with them to keep them warm, acts as if she can feed them, corrects them in a beautifully gentle manner, allows an entire litter to climb all over her and will only correct if they really push boundaries. She spends a lot of her time looking through windows in the hope of seeing Willow's puppies. Her face lights up when I lift a puppy up to show her. It is going to be special seeing her with her own puppies ❤️
