7 incredible babies will be joining their families over the next 4 weeks. It has been a privilege to be a part of their lives. Raising these babies has been tough at times but the experiences have taught me a lot.
My anxiety has been high due to the difficult first week and I am certain that anxiety is what helped me stay awake and alert to be there protecting them.
When certain new families called me, I cried with relief when they expressed interest in another puppy from me. I know that these special babies have the best future ahead.
I am dreading saying goodbye to these babies but really it is a see you later. I can watch them grow from afar and meet up in the future.
I hope more than anything that future litters arrive safe and well and things go smoothly for mum and babies. Due to this experience, it will be at the back of my mind, but I know that I can and will do everything I possibly can to give them all the best chance of survival.
